E-shop development
in Cyprus
Online shops that take cards through JCC, cash on delivery and in-store pickup, with shipping priced by area and everything Cypriot law asks for.

- Cards through JCC
What it needs
Six things an e-shop in Cyprus needs from day one
Most ready-made themes are built for other markets. These are the things that change when you sell to customers in Cyprus.
- SKU-CY-01Cards through JCC or Stripe
JCC is the best known in Cyprus and Stripe the quickest to set up. We connect whichever you choose and run test payments before the shop opens.
- SKU-CY-02Cash on delivery and pickup
Many customers still pay at the door or come by the shop. Both sit next to the card option, each with its own fee if you want one.
- SKU-CY-03Shipping by area
One price for your town and another for the villages, free above an amount, and countries abroad if you ship there.
- SKU-CY-04Prices with VAT
Prices show with VAT included, as the law asks for sales to consumers, and the customer gets a confirmation email with the price broken down.
- SKU-CY-05In English too
Many buyers in Cyprus search in English. If you want them, products, checkout and emails come in both languages.
- SKU-CY-06What the law asks for
Trader details, a 14 day right of withdrawal, shipping shown before payment, terms and a privacy policy. See what the law asks for.

Magiá: a bakery e-shop you can try
We built a whole e-shop for a made-up bakery in Nicosia, so you can see how it works before you pay anything. Put things in the basket and go all the way to checkout.
- Order for a day. The customer picks when they want it and sees what can be made in time.
- Pickup or delivery in time slots. With delivery zones by postcode.
- Cakes made to order. Tiers, colours and a message, with the price changing as they choose.
- Allergy filters. Gluten free or nut free in one tap.
Platform
WooCommerce, Shopify or your own
We build all three. Most of the time we suggest your own shop in Laravel, at the same price as WooCommerce from the basic package up.

Why Laravel
Why we suggest a shop of your own
WooCommerce is a good choice and we build it. A shop of your own, though, gives you things you notice from the first day, at the same price.
- An admin with only what you need. Orders, products, stock and coupons, in Greek or English, without dozens of menus you never touch.
- Everyone sees only their part. Staff see orders, the accountant sees invoices, the driver sees the day's deliveries.
- No yearly licences. Paid WooCommerce add-ons usually cost €50 to €300 each a year. Here what you need is already in.
- Faster and safer. No third party add-ons run on every page load, and none are left without updates, which is the most common way a shop gets hacked.
- Made for Cyprus. JCC, cash on delivery, delivery zones by postcode, Greek and English from the start.
- The code is yours. You can take it with you whenever you like, even if you leave us.
And the downside. A new feature needs a developer, it does not install in one click from an add-on store. If you want to change everything yourself, WooCommerce suits you better and we will tell you so.

A realistic example
A shop with 40 products, one language, card and cash on delivery. Basic e-shop €1,900 and adding products €200 (40 × €5), with the first year of hosting included. €2,100 for the first year. After that, hosting and care from €199 a year.
For an e-shop, hosting starts at Care Basic, €199 a year, because a shop needs security updates and backups. If you take orders every day, we suggest Care Plus, €349, with daily backups.
The costs that come with every sale, such as card fees and shipping, are in the guide what an online shop costs.

Questions
What people ask before they open an e-shop
How much does e-shop development cost in Cyprus?
From €1,200 for a small shop with up to 20 simple products. From €1,900 for a basic e-shop with up to 50 products, filters and coupons. From €2,900 with variants and a second language, and from €4,500 with a link to a warehouse or accounting system. Adding products costs €5 per product if you do not do it yourself, or €180 to import them from a file. The final price is in the proposal before we start.
How do I take card payments?
The quickest route is Stripe, which opens without a bank and without a monthly fee. If you prefer JCC, you open a merchant account through your bank, which takes a few weeks. We connect the shop and run test payments. The money goes straight to you.
Can I change products and prices without asking you?
Yes. Every e-shop has an admin for products, prices, stock, coupons and orders. We show you how it works when we hand it over.
How long does it take?
Three to six weeks. In practice the timeline is set by when the products, photos and descriptions are ready.
Can I sell outside Cyprus too?
Yes. Shipping is set per country and cards work from anywhere. If your sales to consumers in other EU countries pass €10,000 a year, the VAT of the customer's country applies through the OSS scheme. Ask your accountant as well.
I already have an e-shop. Can you fix it instead of building a new one?
Often, yes. We start with a check of speed, security and legal compliance and tell you what is worth keeping. Try the free e-shop compliance check first.
