SEO in Cyprus has a quirk most people miss: people search for different things in each language. If your website does not know that, it loses half the market before it starts.
What people in Cyprus actually search for
We looked at the searches Google itself suggests and at real Search Console data. Three things stand out:
Cities are searched in English. “web design limassol” has demand, the Greek equivalent almost none. A Greek only page does not show up where the customer is looking.
Prices are searched in Greek. “κατασκευή ιστοσελίδας κόστος” (website cost) is one of the strongest searches. Whoever answers the price question openly wins the customer before the competitor does.
Local search is decided on the map. For services near the customer, your Google Business profile often counts for more than the website itself.
What we do
Technical audit. We find whatever stops Google reading your site: pages missing from the index, a stale sitemap, crossed languages, slow loading.
Google Business and Maps. The right categories, services, photos and a proper link to your site, so you show up when someone searches nearby.
Keyword research for the Cyprus market. In Greek and English, based on what people really type rather than what we assume.
Content that answers one question per page. It is the most reliable way to move a page up, and it is what worked in the example below.
Speed and Core Web Vitals. A slow page loses both positions and visitors.
A monthly report from Search Console. Clicks, impressions and positions as Google measures them, with no inflated numbers.
A real example
About All Fish is a bilingual encyclopedia of Mediterranean fish that we built and handle the SEO for. The numbers come from Google Search Console, for the same 28 days three months apart:
Page one only counts keywords with at least 5 impressions, because an average position over a handful of impressions is noise. It was a new website, so part of the rise is natural maturing. The rest came from content that answers one question per page, internal links and a sound structure.
What we will not promise
Nobody can guarantee the top spot on Google, and Google itself advises you to avoid anyone who promises it. We do not buy links or use tricks that bring a quick rise and then a penalty. SEO takes months, not weeks.
Common questions
How long before I see results?
Technical fixes often show within a few weeks, because Google simply starts seeing pages that were hidden from it. Climbing for competitive searches usually takes three to six months.
Do I need a new website to do SEO?
Not necessarily. We start with a free check of the one you have and tell you honestly whether it can be fixed or whether rebuilding costs less.
How much does it cost?
It depends on where your site stands today and how competitive your field is. That is why we quote after a check, so you pay only for what it actually needs.
Do you do SEO in English too?
Yes, and in Cyprus you usually need to. Many searches with buying intent happen in English, from foreign residents and from Cypriots alike.
Will I see what you are doing?
Yes. Every month you get a report with the numbers from Google Search Console and a short explanation of what changed and why.
